About Julia Rose Upcycle 

All Julia Rose Upcycle jewellery pieces have been partly or completely upcycled.

I make the pendants from scrap MDF wood and use images from damaged retro books to add to my designs. 

​

I then hand paint and draw on the pendants to create one off, unique, quirky pieces which are then made into earrings, necklaces, brooches, pins or magnets. 

​

Cats, plants, hearts, houses, mermaids, mushrooms, dolls, flowers.... all drawn and made in a youthful style. 

​

I have always had a love of recycling, remaking, reusing, upcycling and have pursued this in various materials over the years including fabric, clothing, paper and now more recently, jewellery. 

​

Julia Rose Upcycle was established in 2017 and is run by myself, Julie Burn. Julia Rose was the name I was supposed to be given at birth but ended up just Julie! So I live this name through my work. 

​

I complete all my work at home, in Napier, New Zealand. I lead a busy life and making jewellery is my relaxing time. 

​

All sales I make are greatly appreciated. I love the thought someone is wearing a small piece of my upcycled art.
